Plan B.

If they would ask me: do you have plan B? Do you plan some universities, some schools or some moving out? I would say: no. I have to focus on what I have.

But then a question may appear: what if one day you’ll lose it all? What if all the work you put in, and all the tears you swiped, it’s all for nothing, because A was just a stupid thing from the beginning? Well, life isn’t fair, is it?

At school, I was focusing on all the subjects. I wanted to be the best (also the pressure from family, having an A-grade brother wasn’t easy) in everything. Many times I wouldn’t go to sleep until late, late at night, because I said to myself: first you have to know it all, then you can sleep. Of course, with years, and high school I gave up such mentality quite significantly. But this exact behavior reminded me, that if I focus on all the things, then I do nothing the best. I rarely got 6 (best grade in Poland). But If I would study only and just history, I would be always 6, right?

Well, usually. Sometimes it could be also lack of predisposition to a certain thing. Let’s say you have the job you love, but somehow you are stuck in one position. You focus on it, you take all those overtime hours but you don’t seem to go anywhere. Does it mean: find yourself plan B (another job)? No, because you love it. Just, be aware that you might not be the best. Might be also that the job isn’t the best. But you love it, right?

Most of the plans B appear on the edge. When something bad happens to us, we need a change or when we have to change. It might also come from outside, from people who are either worried about us or who are dissatisfied with our choices. Some people will say: better safe than sorry, and make thousands of additional ways-to-go in case of fire. But I’m a romantic creature. If I have hope for something, some weird belief, or impulse, I will go for it and don’t look elsewhere. I guess that’s who I am.

I don’t know if it’s good or bad. It’s good in a way that you know what to do in order to continue like that, you can stay in your safe zone and don’t change a bit. Usually, there’s no conversation about plans. Plan A is just everyday life, without looking over the horizon.

Thank you guys for reading. Let me know down in the comments if you’re more of a Plan A kind of person or Plan B, C, D. See you soon with another post! Have a lovely rest of the week!
