May’s rain – a poem.

One day was just like I always loved: a warm, but not too hot, and little bit of rainy, with birds chirping in the background. May at its best.

May’s rain

that warm breath
of the ground after
May’s rain
the delicacy of flower scent
“it’s beautiful” the birds said

but wasn’t May just recently?
wasn’t that yesterday when we
went for a long walk in between
all the greens and smells?

wasn’t that in May that
I jumped out of the train
and you were just there?

but it’s here again
and it rains.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’all are doing well. The drawing used in the featured image is my own (if you were wondering). See you soon with new post!
