Blogmas 4: Back in Hamar.
So, I’ve asked for free last Saturday and luckily I got it. Because we never have free together like that, we decided to drive to Hamar to spend some time and in the evening we went to “julebord” (more about it later).

Blogmas 1: 30 days of no Sun.
When people think about Norway, they see this cold, wintery land of aurora borealis and moose slowly strolling through the huge forests. Well, it’s not so far from the truth, besides that no one mentions non-existence of Sun or melting snow every few weeks because of possible global warming.
Blogmas #3: Driving home for Christmas.
Sometimes comes the day when you go home, to your family home, to the place you spent most of your life (if you’re in the twenties like me). This time came for me, and it’s the best time of the year: Christmas.

Many people wonder what is this little Christmas being, that appears in so many Scandinavian stories, songs and mainly in floklore. It comes from really old beliefs and with the simpliest words is the mythological creature (tomte, tomtenisse – Sweden, nisse – Norway, Denmark, tonttu – Finland).
